Polaroid Postcards

With thanks to NEXT Marketing’s blog post I came across this product – Polariod Postcards.

Naturally, I checked them out ( here ) …. however it got me thinking…. this could possibly be a great way to use Polaroids for pet sitting, dog walking or pet minding…  instead of mailing the postcard (save yourself the stamps)…   use it as a postcard to write a handwritten thank you note, daily diary or what-have-you on the back to leave with the client ?

For pet sitting, you could easily leave this within the home or where-ever safe. For dog walking, depending on whether they’re a regular or not you could use it as a way to say thank you (take a snapshot of the dogs where-ever you take them walking).  For pet minding (boarding at the minder’s home), you could easily do as per the pet sitters however give it to the client when they come to pick up their pet (or if you’re doing pet taxi – leave it behind like a pet sitter).

One of the primary reasons I loved the whole idea of Send Out Cards is the below:

Seriously though, in this day and age it’s extra special to get something in the mail. Because you can flickr-tumblr-facebook-whatever a photo all you’d like; but if you really want to wow somebody, give them something they can hold. Like a Polapost frame.

Unfortunately, even with the great conversion rate of the Aussie dollar to the US dollar… it would still cost $25USD including postage (the cheapest postage which means it will take the longest time to reach me here on the Gold Coast) for 7 of these Polaroid Postcards.  If you do know of an Australian company (especially QLD based) whom offers a similar product post it in the comments below ….

Regardless, do you think you would use something like this ?  Do you have a polaroid camera ?
